1 Overview
Services provided by the School of Science are accessed by logging in with your **UTokyo Account**. When logging in, you will use your UTokyo Account username, password, and multi-factor authentication. If you are already logged in to UTokyo Account in your browser, you will not be prompted to authenticate again. For details about UTokyo Account, please refer to: UTokyo Account Guide.
To use services provided by the School of Science, your name, affiliation, and other information must be registered in the School of Science system beforehand. Please refer to the instructions below when starting to use these services.

3 How to Start Using Services
※ Users who have previously used a School of Science account do not need to apply, as data migration has already been completed.
3.1 Pre-check
UTokyo Account is a university-wide account issued to all faculty, staff, and students at the time of employment or admission. Authentication with UTokyo Account is required when using School of Science services. For details, see:
3.2 Faculty and Staff
Newly hired or transferred faculty and staff must apply to start using services via the following application page. This application registers your name, status, and affiliation in the School of Science system. The administrator of your affiliation will approve the application to enable access to School of Science services. Administrators can also register users on behalf of their affiliation (in this case, the user does not need to apply directly).

3.3 Students
Undergraduate students advancing to the Faculty of Science and graduate students entering the School of Science will be registered in bulk at the time of admission or advancement. Therefore, no application is required for these students. Students from other graduate schools who need to use School of Science services (e.g., for research in a School of Science lab) should apply via the same application page as faculty and staff.
